Songwriter,
producer and remixer Giacomo Bondi has reinterpreted songs by the unforgettable
and unrivalled Beatles, in doing so conjuring up something truly unique. A
crucial factor here is the ‘re-lounging’ aspect; this is an ‘artist’s album’,
not just a remix CD. What distinguishes this CD are the genuinely new and
sensitive nuances that Giacomo gives to these classics – which few producers,
if any, have ever managed to do.
Just as
every Fab Four song has its own story, so does Giacomo link his own memories
with each of the tracks selected. Together with Italian Beatles tribute band
The Apple Pies, Bondi recorded new versions of the songs on this CD and later
reworked the individual audio tracks in the studio. The result is a harmonious
new marriage of the songs and inimitable melodies of the FabFour.
As such, ‘re-lounging’
involves not remixes but remarkable new productions and arrangements. What
distinguishes this CD are the genuinely new and sensitive nuances that Giacomo
gives to these classics. An ‘artist’s album’ because only a few producers have
