We’ve taken an unlikely marriage of mining and Jazz as the visual motif, at least, for our latest edition of moreorlessJazz. Volume 6 introduces esthetic elegance to the world of work: exquisite nuggets of Jazz set to the backdrop of a converted mining facility in Germany’s Ruhr Valley region.
Paolo Fedreghini and Nicola Conte lay the first stone on moreorlessJazz 6 – welcoming listeners to a soundscape that Jazz architects with a variety of orientations have helped to construct. As well as featuring avantgarde material from Soulstance and Nostalgia 77, the album treats listeners to subtle interpretations of beloved classics, such as the Bella Wagner rendering of Bob Dylan’s ”It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue”. And while Les Babacools add sophisticated Latin-Pop cues and references to the framework, Bebo Best, the Steffen Waltenberger Band and other artists provide laid-back instrumentals that underline the album’s solid foundations.
May moreorlessJazz 6 be a refuge for you – a small but special work of art, an invitation to take the occasional break and look with satisfaction on the results of your own industry.
