The Roger Cicero Jazz Experience - Digipack Edition

Product no.: TRCJE-01-DP

"My journey in Jazz began back at the age of 18. Many years later the prospect of revisiting the adventure of those early musical roots became increasingly tempting. In 2013 I hooked up with drummer Matthias Meusel, double-bass player Hervé Jeanne and pianist Maik Schott. We had no concrete ideas repertoire-wise - but in the very first session produced our own re-arrangements of Nick Drake's "From The Morning" and "The Long And Winding Road" by The Beatles. It was something of a eureka moment! Our band name was the result of observations gleaned from rehearsing our repertoire together: The Roger Cicero Jazz Experience. We pick songs from within and outside the genre and apply our individual take on Jazz to lend them a whole new feel - both for our listeners and for ourselves." Says Roger Cicero.

Roger Cicero makes a return to his musical roots with The Roger Cicero Jazz Experience. As a trained Jazz vocalist it means the opportunity to reinterpret some of his most loved songs by artists such as Paul Simon, James Taylor and The Beatles in a most personal manner.
